Creative Journey
Ariela Rose is a Los Angeles native currently based near Pasadena in San Marino, CA. She has also lived in Chicago and NYC where she performed poetry at the Green Mill in Chicago, and found her love of screenwriting in New York City.
Raised by parents heavily involved in the dramatic arts, Ariela also found herself on stage with the grown-ups and writing plays since childhood. Her first ad campaign was at age six for Woody Wood Pecker's "Recycle Today for a Better Tomorrow."
Now she appears in national and international spots such as Lexus, Fidelity and Dunkin' Donuts.
Fun fact: Ariela worked in post-production on Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm working as one of two transcribers. One scene with many takes took up 99 pages on Final Draft.
Fun story: When Ariela was a teenager she had a meeting with a higher-up of Disney Channel and told the haughty blonde woman, "Well, actually, my passion is music..." to which the higher-up kicked her out of her corner office after pointing out - with much disdain - that any other kid in Hollywood would kill to be sitting where I sat.
Performing Poetry
Ariela's poetry is inspired by the same qualities of music, and equally inspired by silence. It's also a way she processes what one may process by journaling. Performing her poetry is a commitment to an even deeper experience and most vulnerable of expressions.
Screenwriting
Ariela is currently collaborating on a screenplay, and there are other several screenplays in the vault.
